Hi Blitz, I used this player and as you said it has all the codecs in one place and you don't have to worry about downloading any more codecs. It can play almost anything and has many advanced features and on top of all its free!
But I had some issues with it.
1. The sound was not loud enought when I played videos.
2. The picture was, shall we say a little dark. The brightness etc was low. I tried playing around with the settings and then I realised it has hundreds of settings!! That made things difficult.
If the settings are fine then this is good player but without them its a hard player to set up and learn.

Hey KB...there is no need to use the media player classic that it installs with it...becuz u can play any files with windows media player or any other player....and i dont really think the settings will affect video quality unless they are related to brightness nd stuff...so yea juz use windows media player...!!!

Sorry for not being clear. I was using Real Player only and brightless and sound with and without K-Lite was different. I am using Divx XVid now and yes I have to download codecs time to time because these don't have all the codecs but the sound and picture quality is better.
This is my experience. May not be true with others. K-Lite has more features then any codec. It is very powerful too.
