It's not just the
Housewives on Wisteria Lane who are getting desperate.
Producers of
Desperate Housewives have confirmed a plane will crash into the fictional street during an upcoming episode of the show — potentially killing off several characters.
And in a bizarre cross-promotion, the plane will reportedly be branded the same as the one that crashed in the TV series Lost.
"We're looking at ways to find more fun crossovers between shows," an unnamed source told E! Online.
"So the idea came up to have the
Desperate Housewives 1-5 dvd plane be Oceanic."
The plot of Lost centres around the passengers of a fictional Oceanic Airlines flight that crashes in the South Pacific.
Desperate Housewives box set creator Marc Cherry said the Wisteria Lane crash will "affect everyone's lives" on the show.
"It's going to be my cliffhanger for the first half of the season," he said.
Although Cherry initially denied the crash would cause any deaths on the show, the Daily Mail reports that he has had a change of heart.
