Star Plus has been lining up quite number of shows for launch, and this does mean that many long-running shows of the channel will give way to new concepts!!

After giving our readers first hand information on Star Plus' Sangam going off air, Telly Buzz now gives you exclusive news of Shakuntalam Telefilms' Santaan on Star Plus going off air very soon!!

According to our source, "The show has had its good run, and was the slot's highest TRP getter for nearly a year or so. The unit was informed of this decision only today, and as they say all good things need to come to a logical end and Santaan will also see a typical happy ending".

"The show will go off air in the last week of March", confirms our source.

An actor on terms of anonymity confirmed this news saying, "Yes, it is true that Santaan is winding up. We have been intimated today".

Santaan has a good ensemble cast of Diwakar Pundir, Samraagi, Sudeep Sahir, Mitika Sharma, Gaurav Khanna, Daljit Kaur, Manish Naggdev and others..

We tried calling as well as messaging Producer Shyamashis Bhattacharya of Shakuntalam Telefilms, but we did not get a reply from him till the time we filed the story.

Our attempts to get a reply from Keertan Adhyantaya, GM and EVP, Star Plus were also in vain, as he did not respond.
