It will no longer be a good afternoon on Zee TV. Apparently, the channel is said to be shutting its afternoon slot after it has pulled the plug on its two active shows Rakhi and Vivaah.

Confirming the news, lead actress of Rakhi, Nupur Joshi says, “Yes, it’s true that our show is winding up. It came as a real shock to all of us. Rakhi will come to an end on 5 February. From what we’ve been hearing the channel is closing down its afternoon band.”

Meanwhile, Himani Shivpuri, who plays Kulraj Kohli in Vivaah says, “Yes, Vivaah is shutting down. I don’t know about the date when it will end.” Another actor requesting anonymity says, “Vivaah is coming to an end. I reckon the show will shut down in the last week of February.

When contacted, business head Tarun Mehra told us that the channel PR would revert to us. There was no response from the PR department at the time of filing the news. There was also no response from programming head Ajay Bhalwankar.
