Re: Commerce stream
Bachelors in Commerce or BCom, is as the name itself suggests, gives an overview of the commerce field. It was the only course in commerce that was available at a undergraduate level until the introduction of Bachelor in Management Studies (BMS). BCom covers business communication, business administration, economics, mathematics and accounts, thus being a perfect launch pad for entrepreneurs and people aspiring to have a career in commerce. If you thought that only MBAs are the lucky ones, you were mistaken. According to Purvi Chavhan, career counsellor, Youngbuzz, “Today with the spurt of people opting for MBAs and specialisation courses, the demand for a simple BCom has reduced. But the new orders issued by the university to include articleship - that is training programmes along with the course to ensure work experience as well - has helped enhance the quality.”
