Mera Sasural changes track
Sahara One’s Mera Sasural is barely a few weeks old and there’s already a small twist in the tale. Darshan Dave, who plays Omi Khajuria, finds himself cornered earlier than expected.
A source says, “As per the original script, Omi, an army officer, is to get married to Heer (Urmila Kanetkar). The couple was also supposed to have their honeymoon but all that has now gone for a toss as Omi is forced to leave his marriage mid-way due to an emergency. Few days later, the family learns that the three army officers are missing. Khajuria’s worst fears come true when an army officer comes with Omi's belongings saying that Omi couldn't be traced.”
So, does it mean that his character has been marginalised? Writer and producer Anjana Sood disagrees, “No, Darshan is very much part of the show. In fact, there’s no alteration to the track. At the moment, we’ve only postponed his role.”
However, Darshan had a different tale to tell. The actor says, “My character hasn’t been marginalised but there definitely is a twist to it. Earlier, I was to be shown getting married to Heer but that hasn’t happened. Such changes are part of a daily soap. Perhaps, it might have occurred taking into account the show’s initial response.”
But will he continue to be part of the show? Darshan replies, “Yes, I’m very much part of the show. In fact, I’m shooting continuously for it. You will not be seeing me in a few episodes but Omi will definitely return. After all, he’s the lead actor, thus there’s no sense in killing him.”

with so many serials on various channels trying to copy the creative work of Mera Sasural it appears to be a smart move by Anjana Sood and Vicky Chandra the producers as well as the creatives for the show

Re: Mera Sasural changes track
why do you think, it is the right decision to change the track. They could have changed the track after the marriage. I was really looking forward to their pairing. I am sure they know what they are doing.

well it is Anjana Sood or Vicky Chandra who will tell u th reason but i feel it is because of the fact that the producers actually live, feel and breath their creative product keeping in view th constant feed back from th viewers and to satisfy their requirement of "something different"

Re: Mera Sasural changes track
they might want to keep people glued to the serial thinking that they will watch everyday for Omi to come back the Heer. Another way of getting viewership, which works for me but i still want to see them togather, with each other not with other people.

may be u are right but that is not the only reason BUT that is not the creatives think about. Their aim is to be different and attract more and more of viewership. after all its has to be an economically successful and a viable project

Re: Mera Sasural changes track
are you sure you are not part of the team, as you know so much about viewership. I think people will like to see the things that normally happens. This serial so far seem so normal. What happens in a normal family. I like the dailougs and discussions. I just wanted them to be togather, they make a nice couple, they split them up so soon. I would like to hear from you.

Hi, thanx! what should i say? The dialogues r too good and so is the screen play. Infact there is something miss-match with the story what they give in daily tv viewing in the newspaper and what is actually telecast. The morning papers have already come up with a story what is likely to happen on 2 apr. Somehow, i really do enjoy every moment and an really looking forward for some nice storyline

Re: Mera Sasural changes track
Thankx for replying, you must be in India. What is happening tomorrow do tell. It is very nice talking to you and discussing the serial, it has a very nice concept. I do not like serials where they switch the husbands and wives around. That is not our Indian culture. They should be teaching our yongsters good moral values not what they are showing on TV. Sorry that is how I feel.

02 apr newspapers in india summary in my words..... family gets to know rhrough tv that omi and his friends are missing....sushma has some secrets which she cant hold anymore which heer overhears and is shocked....yashpal and babbuji are shocked to know about sushma's outburst.
The serial dose not apparently has wife swapping or mother in law/daughter law/sis in law saga. It really has deciphered parents expectations from their children...shravan,yashpal episode and showdown...well controlled
