I think Jigs has other motives for being nice to Bani / Pronita..
She's just too good to be true.
(And if I recall correctly in one of the episodes, when Baba is on the phone he tells the person that Pronita doesn't know she's being used in a "big game" )

All i know is that ekta's team wil stretch the story plot as far as possible even if it they have to get two guys interested in Ganga for a while just to stretch, stretch kasamh se for another 10yrs; and kill the intensity of the present story plot of the main roles of Jai and Bani. Everyone dies off and disappears for a while. Some never returning??? Karuna, Anu, Tarun....................
