KARAN"S INTERVIEW:
The serial now has pyar, masti, emotions and betrayal has Karan playing the young intern Dr. Arman Malik. "Arman the son of a doctor. He is confident, spoilt and flirtatious. But he is a very good doctor too and is very serious about his work," says Karan.

He says Arman is both serious and fun-loving. He gets along well with the dean’s elder daughter, also an intern, Dr. Anjali Gupta and romance starts brewing between the two. But before the relationship evolves any further, complications arise and Arman falls in love with the dean’s younger daughter Dr. Ridhima. "I am expecting everyone to love the show. It’s not a normal family drama. The new interns are full of spunk, commitment, energy and the story has lot of drama. It also explores the complex world of relationships," says the actor who is having great time working for the show. "We have lot of fun on the sets. The idea is to enjoy your work and when you are happy you tend to work better."

Karan is a fitness freak and loves swimming besides playing basketball and volleyball. But he is not a party animal. "I am not into parties and late nights. I have a few close friends but they aren’t from the TV industry," he signs off

heheh sum more: jus sumthing bout shilpa anand

Shilpa Anand, the gorgeous Riddhima of Star One’s Dill Mill Gayye is passionate about computers. Wondering why? Well, Shilpa before taking to modeling was a Software Developer and was working in a Software Firm. “Yes, I was working as a software developer for few months; modeling was always a hobby for me, but then, I thought of taking up modeling assignments for a profession”, says Shilpa.

Apart from being a successful model, Shilpa has done over 50 ads. Shilpa is also fond of horse riding. Says the model turned actress, “Horse riding is a very passionate sport to be involved in. When I was in USA, I used to ride a lot. But now, with a full-fledged TV career, I am not able to devote much time to horse riding”.

So what is Shilpa passionate about these days? “I love to listen to music; whenever I want to take it easy after a strenuous shooting schedule, I want music for my ears. So Music is a passion which is more of a stress buster for me”, says Shilpa. “I love to surf net and whenever I am free, I keep in touch with my friends thro’ chat”, adds the actress.

Many stars take to the small screen first, and then make their way to the big screen. But for Shilpa, it is the other way round, as the ravishing actress has run around trees in few Kannada as well as Telugu films. A lesser known fact is that, Shilpa happens to be the sister of the very popular and successful actress of the South, Sakshi Shivanand. “I had a great passion to work in films, have done films in Telugu and Kannada. I have also worked in a Hindi film ‘Ikraar By Chance’. When I entered films, my sister had already made it big there; my mother who used to accompany my sister and stay with her down south, advised me to take up something, where she need not accompany me.(laughs) So when I got an offer for Dill Mill Gayye, I grabbed it with both hands”, says Shilpa with a smile on her face.

Shooting schedules can be really stressful, so how does Shilpa cope up with all this? What is it that acts as a stress buster to you? “I do breathing exercises in the morning; also try few chanting techniques and meditation. This gives me a relaxed feeling. I also take to jogging and swimming after a hard day’s work. I guess these are good ways of being healthy in mind and heart”, says the fitness freak, Shilpa

Dill Mill Gayye" has succeeded in drawing the audience, your reaction?
I am glad of course. I am playing Dr. Riddhima Gupta, an intern at Sanjeevni, and the daughter of Sushank Gupta, the dean of the hospital, played by Monish Behl. I have a sister named Dr. Anjali Gupta who often gets irritated with me. And then there is Dr. Armaan who troubles me a lot.

This is your first television appearance, how has the experience been so far?
It has been good so far. Television requires commitment on the part of the actor, it has long work hours. It's hectic but what keeps me motivated is the contentment. After all, hectic schedules are part of all daily soaps. I have been lucky that the whole production team has been very co-operative.

How did you get this role?
They just called and said they wanted me to do this role and I agreed. They took a look test and I was on board.

You have a sister in real life and in this serial, too. So was it easy for you to introduce a few things from real life in your acting?
No, not at all. The chemistry with my real sister is completely different from that with my reel sister in the serial. In the show, my sister and I get into a lot of petty arguments.

You have got a lot of exposure in this serial, do you think you will be able to live up to the expectations of the audience?
I guess so. All I can say is that I will try my best.

How similar are you and the character of Dr. Ridhima Gupta?
Certain traces are similar. A few differences are also stark here and there. But we are very similar with regard to our approach to life. She is straightforward and doesn't take crap from anyone. Nor do I.

"Sanjeevni" is quite similar to "Dill Mill Gayye", which did very well in the start but later diverted from the main love story. Will the same happen with "Dill Mill Gayye"?
Frankly speaking, I haven't watched "Sanjeevni", but I don't think "Dill Mill Gayye" is similar to it. I don't know what turn "Sanjeevni" took in the end, but "Dill Mill Gayye" has a strong and interesting storyline that won't need to be changed later on.

Can you honestly tell us whether you faced any problems in adjusting with your coactors?
All of them were so good. I really had no problem in mixing

fuss abt armaan

The girl gang of Dil Mill Gaye has decided to stay away from Shraddha Nigam’s boyfriend Karan Singh. The actor outrageously flirts with all the women present on the serial’s sets despite having a steady girlfriend. Exasperated, the girl brigade decided to boycott him.

Says a crew member, “Everybody knows that Karan and Shraddha have been seeing each other for quite some time now. How can he hit on the other girls when he is already in a serious relationship? This is not funny any longer and is beginning to be a source of irritation.”

Another crew member confirms saying, “The girls are extremely offended and have decided to avoid him. When it comes to work, everyone is professional and co-operative but beyond that they maintain a distance from him. Poor Karan is yet to realise that!”

Shilpa Anand who plays Dr Riddhima Gupta in the show says, “I have come here to work and I don’t bother about what is happening on the sets. I don’t sit and chat with people. Karan is no exception. I don’t need to talk to him beyond my work.”

When asked about his Casanova act, she says, “There is no doubt that Karan is very flirtatious with the girls.”

Sonia Singh who plays Keerti Mehra, apparently, has a crush on him. She says, “I have decided not to talk with him as it will add fuel to the rumours. I prefer to stick to my work rather than react to baseless rumours.”

When contacted, Karan Singh seemed unaffected. “I have no qualms about admitting that I am a flirt. I am not here to marry anybody. I don’t think it should kick up such a huge fuss.” he says.

sum mor on riddhima: i face things as they come:shilpa

Hardly had she dreamt of becoming an actress until acting just happened to her.
A software professional otherwise, Shilpa Anand is gaining all the attention on the small screen these days for her character Dr Riddhima in serial Dill Mill Gayye . We caught up with this pretty gal when she recently paid a visit to the city.

So how has been her experience on TV like?

“It has really been great. I am just enjoying my work though the hours are very long. But I don’t feel that it’s my first time on television. That’s also because my co-stars are quite supportive,” she says.

Wonder why this switch from being a software professional to an actor?

“Making a career in acting was not a deliberate decision. It was actually on the insistence of some of my friends that I started taking modelling assignments which gradually led to getting film offers from the South, which I accepted. Down South my work even received a lot appreciation. And that’s how my journey in this line began. But at the moment I’m happy working on small screen as it has really raised my popularity graph.”

But with so many fresh faces on screen, we ask her what would make her stand apart from them?

“See, each actor has his own style of acting. So do I. At the same time I keep working to improvise my acting skills so that I can stand apart from my small screen counterparts.”

Having done modelling too, we next ask her, what does she prefer between modelling and acting and she takes off, “There is a big difference between the two. In modelling one needs to be focussed for you have the responsibility of endorsing a brand while in acting the attention is shared by the other co-stars as well which makes it a bit convenient for the actor. Therefore I feel acting much easier then modelling.”

What plans for the future?

“See I don’t believe in planning things for future. I face things as they come. But yes I would definitely want to grow as an actor and that people know me for my acting. Be it comedy, romantic or thrillers I would like to try all of these and show my versatility.”

As she readies to leave we shoot one last question. What’s Shilpa doing when not acting? “Acting is a hectic job. So whenever I get time you’d find me sleeping. Also in order to maintain my figure and keep myself fit going to the gym is a part of my routine.”

Mid-Day - Life at work, work life balance, make work fun, fun at work..

Dr.Keerthi--an interview....

Known to be among the most popular vamps on Indian Television, Sonia is headed towards a drastic change to her stereotyped image. Sonia is a part of Star One’s - Dill Mill Gaye, where she plays the character of - Keerti Mehra, a strict doctor, who makes life difficult for the interns.

We talk to Sonia and get an insight to her character in the show, her future projects, and how does she feel about her versatile roles.

Tell us something about your role in the new show:

I play a character called - Keerti Mehra, who is a strict professor who makes life a little difficult for the interns. She isn’t a negative character, thank-fully (laughter).

How is it been playing a positive character for the first time on Indian television?

I am so glad that I am not playing a vamp. It was time I began doing something different. Its been a little difficult actually, playing positive. Between the shots, the director has to cut the shot, as my expressions look negative, so it was difficult at first, but I am sure soon, I’ll get the hang of it.

There have been rumors that you might return to KumKum, is that going to happen anytime soon?

I don’t know, I was to start shooting soon with them, but things didn’t work out, the production has asked me to join them, in the first week of September, lets see how that works out.

A final note take on your new show?

Its something very different, my character, the story, everything. So be on a lookout for Dil Mil Gaye.

How has your experience been while working in Dill Mill gayye ?

I HAVE HAD A WONDERFULL EXPERIENCE WHILE WORKING FOR DMG. ESPECIALLY COZ I WAS THE FIRST ONE TO BE SIGNED FOR THE SHOW. I AM GLAD THAT THE HARD-WORK HAS PAID AND IT HAS BEEN RECEIVED BRILLIANTLY. THANX TO ALL YOU FANS WHO HAS A BIG BIG HAND IN OUR SUCCESS.

You have worked in Two more serials on Star one; "India Calling and Special Squad." Amongst these three serials including DMG which serial did u enjoy doing the most?

TO BE HONEST "SPECIAL SQUAD" IS THE SHOW I HAVE ENJOYED THE MOST. INDIA CALLING I DID JUST FOR MONEY.

Are you similar to your reel character Atul Joshi in real life too?

NO NOT AT ALL. I AM A VERY SHY AND A VERY RESERVED GUY, AND I DONT LIKE TALKING ENDLESSLY. I LIKE MY SPACE AND ALSO I RESPECT OTHERS SPACE ASWELL. BASICALLY, PERSONALLY I AM VERY DRY AND ALOOF.

Amongst your co-stars whom do you enjoy more working with ?

I ENJOYED WORKING WITH SHRADDHA NIGAM, NOT EVERY BODY KNOWS; BUT WE HAVE DONE A SHOW ON ZEE TV-- "TU KAHE AGAR" AND WE HAVE HAD EXCELLENT WORKING CHEMISTRY.

Any funny incident on the sets that you can recall of ?

NOTHING SPECIFIC.

I CANT IMAGINE MYSELF DOING ANYTHING ELSE EXCEPT "ACTING"

You have a lot of fan following on many social network communities (Orkut, India – Forums, etc.). Any message for your fans ?

LISTEN TO YOUR HEART;
COZ IT MAY BE ON THE LEFT;
BUT IT IS ALWAYS RIGHT

some scoop bout armaan!!!!
You said you got 20 kisses in the promos. Is there any addition to it?

Sadly, there aren't anymore.

So that was only done to attract the viewers?

Yes, I agree. They used me to grab viewer's attention.

From what we've seen in the promos, the two sisters are in love with you but who do you like?

I get well along with Anjali but eventually I fall in love with Riddhima Gupta. So, this creates a rift between the two.

It's a medical show, so, you must have brushed your self with the requisite knowledge and skill?

No question about it. For the first time, I got to attend medical workshops where they showed us how to use instruments, dealing with patients and all the dos and don'ts for a doctor.

So, have you begun to practice in real life too?

Not at all. The only place we practice is at Sanjivani

another interview!!!
She's a small town girl with big dreams. It's precisely these dreams that brought Rohtak-born girl Sunaina Gulia to Mumbai. And ever since she landed in Mumbai, Sunaina has got ambitious by the day. After taking part in Miss India contest (2004), Sunaina took the Tellywood route. Sunaina will be seen in Star One's 'Dill Mill Gayye' - earlier titled 'Sanjeevani.'

"I play Anjali, who's one of Dean Dr.Shahsank Gupta's (Mohnish Bhel) daughter and she's one of the five interns. She's a very practical and ambitious girl, who dreams of becoming the head of Sanjeevani" said Sunaina.

When asked about her equation with her co-stars, she replied. "We are a great bunch. Not only do we have fun but we also create a ruckus on the sets. Things are going great since we have a youthful starcast." It's just not wit her young colleagues, Sunaina also shares a great rapport with acclaimed actor Mohnish Behl.

"He's an amazing guy. Normally, big stars just come on the sets, do their job and leave, but Mohnish is an exception. Initially I was a bit apprehensive but he's very humble and is always there to guide you. A key to success for any show is a healthy and free environment."

She might appear as a new face, but Sunaina has played the lead in serials like 'Kuch Love Kuch Masti,' 'Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na' and Kne Ghosh's 'Ada.' In between, she's also anchored a travel show ('Voyage').

Often models aren't rated much as actors. However, Sunaina has learnt this art from Anupam Kher's acting school. So is Anupam Kher a hard taskmaster? She replied, "Not at all. He's always been nice to us and he teaches himself," quips Haryanvi chori.

She was born in Haryana but Sunaina had the luxury of travelling to new places - courtesy her father's job. She's been to Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, Kolkata and the entire south India. Later, she did her graduation in Mass Comm, Advertising and PR from Delhi and that's when she moved to Mumbai.

An article about DMG :
An article about DMG :

I’m flirtatious and fun-loving’
Karan Singh Grover talks about girlfriend Shraddha Nigam and the show 'Dill Mill Gaye' to Shameem Khan

MUMBAI: Girls, eat your heart out. The dreamboat is not single anymore. “I am seeing Shraddha Nigam,” confirms actor Karan Singh Grover before launching into a litany about her. “She’s been an actress for a long time. This is a great help for a newcomer like me. Shraddha’s an extremely caring and happy person. She gives more than 100 per cent to a relationship.”
Fortunately, this hasn’t dimmed his popularity with the fairer sex.
“I am so glad that I am being liked by all. Probably, my character Armaan Malik in ‘Dill Mill Gaye’ is lovable. And trust me; I am just like him in real life—flirtatious, fun-loving and tension-free. I am serious about my work but apart from that I am always playing pranks on people.”

This reminds him of the incident with co-star Shilpa Anand.
“I am always punching her good-humouredly. Once we were performing a scene and I happened to punch her right on her lips. The poor thing had a swollen lip for a long time,” he laughs adding, “But she’s a good friend.”

Though the show ‘Dill Mill Gaye’ is popular, the consensus is that it’s deviating from the basic storyline.

“Yes, I have got that response too. There was a romantic angle between Shilpa and me. But now, we are consciously getting back to the hospital saga,” he clarifies.

Right now, it’s just this show which is taking up all of Karan’s time. “However, I am open to all kinds of work—social drama, travel shows and even films. It’s good work that I am craving for

hello every one this is an article of karan singh (armaan)
Q: What is your "Dill Mill Gayye" all about?
A: It's about five medical interns who are doing their internship in one of the best hospitals named Sanjevani. The serial follows their transformation from medical interns to practicing doctors.

Q: What is your character in the serial?
A: I am playing the role of one of the interns, Armaan Mallik. And how he is, you will all come to know soon. All I can say is he's a wonderful character.

Q: We have heard that it's a youth-oriented story…
A: Yes, very much so. But instead of having a bunch of college-going students we have five medical interns. I am sure that the youth will be interested in watching such a show. It has fun, intensity, seriousness that the study of medicine requires, plus the story of the GeNext.

Q: You were playing a character in "Solah Sringaar", but now it's off air. Any reasons?
A: Actually, I was not able to devote time there because "Dill Mill Gayye" was in progress. In "Solah Sringaar", my character is currently in London (laughs).

Q: Your debut was with Balaji. How was your experience of working with them?
A: Oh, it was just fantastic. I was lucky to have debuted under such a banner. They are extremely professional. I learned a lot there.

Q: So are you willing to work with them in the future?
A: I will be glad if I get a chance to work with them again.

Q: Out of all the characters you have played so far, which one is your favorite?
A: It has to be my character in "Dill Mill Gayye", the character of Armaan. The reason being the character is very much like me.

Q: New shows are going on air every other day. Do you think that in this highly-competitive market your show will be able to sustain itself?
A: We are hoping for the best, the rest depends on the taste of the audience. It's a fun-filled show, with a different look and feel to it. This show will definitely attract the young crowd and they are our target audience.

Q: Are you planning to switch to films?
A: Not exactly, I won't call it switching. I am part of two films which will be released soon. One is "Bhram" and the other is Subhash Sukla's "I am 24". I don't think at this point of time I will be shifting completely to films. That will depend largely upon the offers that I get.

Q: Many actors are opening up their own production houses, do you wish to do the same?
A: Haven't thought about it as yet.

Q: According to you, want kind of show will rule the market in the future --- family dramas or reality shows?
A: I think the audience is bored of family dramas that have dragged on for years now. I think reality shows will be the next happening things on television.

it is a telugu film done by shilpa have a look

VISHNU: Better avoid it
By: Jalapathi Gudelli

Film: VISHNU
Cast: Vishnuvardhan Babu, Vedika, Murali Mohan, Jayasudha, Neethu Chandra and others.
Music: Ismail Darbar
Producer: M.Mohan Babu
Screenplay and direction: Shaji Kailas

This film is launching pad for veteran actor Mohan Babu's son Vishnu Vardhan Babu. To launch his son in a big way, Mohan Babu put extra efforts to rope in Malayalam film director Shaji Kailas and Bollywood music director Ismail Darbar. Had he showed little interest on story, the film would have been better.

These so-called good technicians and heavy budget have not helped in anyway to this formula film. Like most of the launching films of star sons, VISHNU too revolved around the hero's muscle power and dancing abilities. And Vishnuvardhan Babu has done good job in that but he has no ability to give a decent expression. It is the most boring film.

Vishnu (Vishnu Vardhan Babu) is an engineering student. When a classmate proposes him, he reveals that he has had a girlfriend, Vaishnavi(Vedika alias Shilpa Anand), when he was child, and he would marry only her despite both were separated fourteen years back. And our hero waits for her to come.

And luckily, she joins in his college. He doesn't reveal his identity and tries to win his love just like that. But she hates him seeing him fighting always with someone. She is the daughter of a faction leader. He arranges her marriage to his nephew. When she learns that Vishnu is her childhood lover err..friend, she elopes from her place and comes to Vishnu. Rest of the film is how Vishnu marries Vaishnavi resisting her father.

Vishnu has huge physique but his performance is not that so good. The film lacks story. It is rehashed version of so many films. Malayalam director Shaji Kailas has grip over technique, but when there is no content, technical gimmickry doesn't help much.

Saravan's cinematography deserves application. Bollywood music director Ismail Darbar fails to make an impact. All in all, better avoid watching this film.

dr.sapna
How did you get this role?

They had called me for the audition. Sapna is a Gujarati and so they wanted someone who can speak a bit of Gujarati. I am from Ahmedabad so I can speak the language very well. They just took a look test as they were searching for an innocent, soft face. And to my fortune, I had what they required.

How similar is the character to the real you?

This girl belongs to a middle-class family and is docile in nature. She doesn't react even if someone talks rudely with her. She lives for her dream. I am somewhat like her and even I hail from a middle-class family.

What do you feel about the show?

This is a very youthful show, made keeping in mind the GeNext. The audience will not see saas, bahu, bhabhi, and other such relations. It's about medical students and their journey towards achieving their professional dreams. They are all from different backgrounds and have different personalities. While someone is sober, someone is negative, yet another is a cool dude. It's about their ups and downs in life. I am sure the audience would like it.

How much fun did you all have during the making of this show?

Oh, we had a ball on the sets. The main reason could be that we are all of the same age group.

Did you do some research before playing a doctor in this serial?

Yes, we all had attended workshops of Dr. Junaid. We learnt how to administer injections. And it was very much needed, as medicine is a very serious profession. If we were not acquainted with the basics we would look funny, and that we just couldn't afford. We can't make fun of such a profession.

Do you think the audience would appreciate "Dill Mill Gayye"?

My character is realistic and even my dialogues are simple. I can say that there is a 50 per cent chance that the audience will like my character, and I am 100 per cent sure that they will like the show. I am happy being part of this show and very excited.

How similar is "Dill Mill Gayye" to "Sanjivani"?

I used to watch "Sanjivani". "Dill Mill Gayye" is different from that serial. It's just that the name of the hospital is Sanjivani, and the dean is Mohnish Behl. Apart from these, all the characters and the story are totally different.

Do you feel the audience needs a break from the stereotyped family dramas?

Well, one can't deny the fact that family dramas are still popular. When a production house comes up with a concept it's made for a target audience. The way our show was made keeping youth in mind. Similarly, family shows are made to cater to homemakers. And believe me, the market for family shows is huge in India. The rest depends upon the audience.

What other projects are in the pipeline?

I have a part in Sajid Khan's directorial debut "Heyy Babyy". And as of now, I am occupied with "Dill Mill Gayye". May be after three-four months, I will look for something. I always like experimenting with roles, so if in the near future I get a chance to act on the big screen, I will definitely try that out depending upon the offer.

Introduction Of Two New Interns Of Sanjeevani.
Last week saw the introduction of two new Interns into Sanjeevani. These new Interns are from the Punjab branch of Sanjeevani.
Both the new Interns made a grand entry into the show. Each of them leaving an impression of their individuality.

Introducing first, Doctor Muskaan Chadda. Muskaan Chadda is a young Intern of Sanjeevani from Amritsar (Punjab). Being a thorough Punjabi at soul but modern at heart, Muskaan's attire very well defines her attitude towards life.Clad in a pair of jeans, short embellished kurti, long dangling earrings, fluorescent coloured scarf that holds her lovely curly locks, Muskaan is the incessant chatterbox who views the world through rose coloured spectacles.Travels through the roads of life on her 'Dhanno' - a yellow coloured Scooty! 'Dhanno' is an indispensable part of her life, with whom she shares all her light & low moments.

Everything looks pink and beautiful in her life. For her, life is fun and a game – to be enjoyed to the fullest.A firm believer in God, she turns to her 'Babaji' for help whenever she finds herself in a fix! She's chirpy & amiable & makes new friends in a jiffy! There's never a dull moment with Muskaan around! The only rival in Muskaan's life is our next new Intern - Doctor Rahul Garewal.

Doctor Rahul Garewal. He is the new stylish doctor of Sanjeevani. Well behaved, he knows how to woo girls with his good mannerisms. He is the kind of guy, every girl would like to take home to her parents! Speed is in his blood & racing is his passion. Well dressed, well mannered, confident, thats Dr. Rahul today. But this was not the case earlier. He has a past to deal with. During his college days, our Dr. Rahul was a geek, clad in loud, out-fashioned shirts & those nerdy-type thick-rimmed spectacles. But that's history now! Today he stands tall with all the girls drooling over him!

Dr. Muskaan & Dr. Rahul were at logger-heads in Sanjeevani (Punjab) too & hence the very sight of each-other at their new work-place left them fuming with anger! Dr. Armaan & Dr. Riddhima had to rush to rescue the situation!

Now that all's not well between Dr. Armaan & Dr. Riddhima & two new Interns have been introduced too, there are surely some fireworks to be seen! Lets see what life has in store for these young doctors! More twists-&-turns are expected!

hi guys here is an article hope u all will enjoy it

Dill Mill Gayye is a show aimed at the urban educated youth. Set in Sanjeevani Hospital, it deals with the pressures, the drama, the romance, the interpersonal relationships and humour in the lives of young doctors.
The protagonist, Riddhima (Shilpa Anand) is a 21-year-old intern with dreams of becoming a top doctor. Like any other youngster of today, she has spunk and the spirit to have fun. What sets her apart is her ability to ride through the roughest storms relying on the honesty and integrity, which has been a part of her upbringing. Riddhima has all the ingredients of being a competent yet compassionate doctor and her faith never falters when following the right path in complex medical cases or a real life situations.
Alongside Riddhima several other young characters, representing the wide and varied lifestyles in India are present. The spitfire, focused and at times selfish Anjali, the rich, charming and laid-back lover boy Armaan, the anxious to please Gujarati, middle class girl Sapna and the always sweet appealing to all girls is Atul.
It has been revealed that Atul is the adopted son of Omi, one of the protagonists in the first season of Sanjeevani. It has also been revealed that although Riddhima and Anjali are sisters, they are in fact only half-sisters. Padma, one of the nurses in Sanjeevani, is the birth mother of Riddhima.
[edit] Characters
• Dr. Shashank Gupta
He is the head of Sanjeevni hospital and has spent his entire career as a doctor for this hospital and its patients. He is considered a 'God' in the world of surgery and all interns wait for an opportunity to assist him in the operation theater. Dr Shanshank is an idol not only for interns but also other resident doctors of Sanjeevani. Dr Shashank's two daughters Riddhima and Anjali are world to him and all he wants is to see his daughters become competent doctors. Both Riddhima and Anjali come to Sanjieevani to do their internship but get no special treatment for being the daughters of the head of the hospital.Played by Mohnish Behl.
• Dr Riddima Gupta
Riddhima is a 21 year old, warm hearted, kind and good-natured girl. This single most important thing in her life along with being a good human being is her dream to make her father, Shashank Gupta proud off her achievements in the medical arena. She is intelligent and modern in her outlook to life, and yet respects and represents all the core Indian values. Quick to forgive and forget, at the same time she will not take blatant injustice lying down. Riddhima's weak spot is Anjali, as she allows Anjali to always get the better from her, but that again is not a sign of her weakness. She does so simply because her nature is amenable to everything. Yet, there is one person, an intern like her in Sanjeevani, who manages to get a rise out of the generally very easy going Riddhima. How much ever Riddhima tries to ignore Armnaan, she unexplainably cannot.Played by Shilpa Anand.
• Dr. Armaan Mallik
22 year old Armaan represents the new age man; one who is self confident, efficient, cheeky and occasionally even smug. He is also extremely handsome and gives the impression of being a skirt chaser. He enjoys female company and makes no bones about the fact that he has a weakening knee effect on women. He is used to being the centre of female attention and also knows how to sustain that attention when he does receive it. Armaan comes from an affluent family and has never wanted for anything materialistic ever in his life. But beneath the suave and confident exterior lies a focussed doctor, whose sole aim is to outgrow the stigma of being the son of an alcoholic anesthesiologist. Played by Karan Singh Grover.
• Dr. Anjali Gupta
Anjali at 22, is Shashank's older daughter and is basically one who is used to having her way. Extremly beautiful, she is quiet conscious of her looks and not above using them .She is manipulative and conniving. In addition she is also academically intelligent, making her a god doctor in her own right, though she is never a favourite amongst the patience, owing to her to-the-point attitude. Her ultimate aim is to be the head of the organisation Sanjeevani, as it means that she will have power, respectability. And it will declare her as the fitting heir apparent to Shashank's legacy. She will employ all the methods of saam, daam, dand and bhed to get whatever she sets her eyes on. Anjali's manipulative ways are most obvious in the way she handles her sister Riddhima.Played by Sunaina Gulia.
• Dr. Atul Joshi
A lovable character, Atul is the best guy friend a girl can ever have, without ever making him a real boy friend. He is a good natured, easy going boy, who has become a doctor to fulfill the wish of his dead father, who is part of Sanjeevani alumni. His father worshiped Sanjeevani and Shashank Gupta and he has come to the place of his father's worship to pay his tribute t the man who adopted him. He is always treated like one of the girls when girlie talks are being discussed. When he realizes certain people cannot be changed, he takes mater into his own hands and empties trash, puts cups in trash and carries his own porcelain cup so that the use of Styrofoam cups in Sanjeevani can be reduced.Played by Pankit Thakker.
• Dr. Sapna Shah
She is a simple girl from a simple, yet reasonably rich Gujarati household. She is the youngest of three daughters and her father always encouraged her to do what she wanted. Having seen her older sisters married off and straddled with bawling children early in their life, she escaped in the direction of a possible career, with the intention that it would be a legitimate excuse for the family to delay her marriage. Her mother is possessive and she is always trying to make excuses for her mothers over domineering and loving over indulgence. She gets a dabba full of Gujrathi food, large enough to feed all the interns. And she has to very often leave work early, or keep Friday evenings free to meet a potential match.Played By Muskaan Mehani.

As soon as he added 'Grover' to his surname, he hit the jackpot with Dil mill Gayye and now he is the latest “Armaan” of millions of girls! From playing a hardcore negative guy in Kasauti, to this role is no less an achievement. In a short span of time, he has erased the memory of being a rapist, a guy who never had any respect for women. He truly deserves to be in our Top Ten, and a tag of one of the most Eligible Bachelor!

Presenting Swini Khara, the Wonder Kid...
Name, fame, recognition, appreciation, awards, fanfare and a chance to work with superstar Amitabh Bachchan is surely the dream goal of so many wannabe and established stars. But all this and more has been achieved by a little girl who is just 9 years old. Whether be it as Chaitali Thakkar in Television or as Amitji’s neighbour and confidante in the movie “Cheeni Kum” – Swini Khara has aced it all. Winner of ITA Best child artist (female) award in 2007, this girl has achieved with her dedication and sincerity what many can only dream of.

How does it feel to get an award, she was asked and we get the prompt reply, “I feel very much happy and it is a great achievement. Getting an award is a very good experience as you get the results of your work”. At such a tender age, such maturity in expression is really amazing. When she was asked if she liked her role as “Chaitali”, she replied in the affirmative saying that she enjoys playing the sweet and naughty character of Chaitali very much. But she makes sure to point out that she is not exactly like Chaitali, “I am not naughty like Chaitali, but I share one plus point with her. She always comes first in class and I do too.” But what if Swini is asked to be as naughty as Chaitali - would she be? “I can do that. But I want to be a good simple girl who studies and want to work more and go ahead in my life”, is her reply that shows how grounded the girl is. Swini shared that they have a lot of fun on the sets of Baa Bahu aur Baby and together with Gattu (Deven Bhojani) has a great time playing. Deven incidently also happens to be her favorite. "He is the funniest, and it is great fun having him around”, she quipped.

When she was asked about her experience as far as Bollywood goes, “Bollywood is “The bollywood” – the place where all actors want to be”, she exclaimed and then added, “Bollywood is so popular and just being a part of it is a great experience. Till now I have achieved what I wanted to on TV and I want to work a lot harder and love to get all the bollywood awards.” So how was it working with Big B? She sounded too excited and fondly tells how she enjoyed the experience thoroughly. She also told how shocked she was when she came to know about her selection in Cheeni Kum, and adds excitedly, “I just could not believe that I am working with ‘THE’ Amit uncle – he is such a big star!". Is there is any other actor she wants to work with? Pat came her reply, “Hrithik Roshan”.

Swini is surely a wonder kid. A topper in all forms of life; a girl with innocence in her voice, oozing maturity in her work, this girl has miles to go and great things to achieve in life..

i wud luv 2 b born as a star son-pankit thakker
Your Nickname: Sweetu

Your Best Personal Quality: Sincerity and Optimism.

Your Weak Point according to you: My naivety. I easily believe everything and everybody and take everything at its face value. That has caused me a lot of grief and pain.

Your Biggest Influence is: The biggest influence in my life has been my own optimism. I have complete faith in myself. That is why even when everyone had advised, even warned me against becoming an actor as they thought I would never make it, even my astrological charts seem to say so, I kept faith in myself and finally became what I wanted to.

If you could go back in time you would...? : I would want to born as a star son so that I could at least get a launch vehicle.

If you could be anyone else you would be...?: No one. I am happy the way I am.

Greatest gift you have ever received: To be honest, nothing noteworthy as such.

First thing that you do when you wake up every morning : I go to the kitchen and make myself a cup of tea. It is something I like to do myself, as I am very particular about the way I have my morning cuppa.

Your best role so far: I enjoyed shooting for Special Squad. Sometimes, you click with everyone on the sets. Special Squad was like that. Starting from the spot boy to the camera person to the actors to the script writers, everyone bonded there. We had a fabulous time. Also, my the role I played in Kabhi Sautan Kabhi Saheli I believe had many shades to it, and its very close to my heart.

Working in Dill Mill Gayye has been : It has been very different, and very professional. Because of the tight shooting schedules, we have not have had quality bonding time. Everyone keeps to their make up vans if they are not shooting, and the atmosphere is highly professional and driven. I love it that way as I also love the time I get to myself.

old interview of KARAN {4 india-forums}
Does the name Armaan ring a bell in your ears? Of course yes, because Armaan is a name that has always been associated with name, fame, success and a huge fan following. At first, Apurva Agnihotri achieved enormous success playing the role of Armaan Sir in Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi. Now, the new Armaan to rock the television world is Karan ‘Dr. Armaan’ Grover who has set all hearts thumping with his looks and charming personality in Star one’s Dill Mill Gayye.

As bubbly and energetic as his character, Karan Grover talks about his character and much more, read on.

How is it playing Dr. Armaan? “It’s been awesome playing Dr. Armaan. I relate a lot to the character I play, so I need not put in much effort. I need to go there, play myself and get back. The best part is that, there is no need for me to act for the role. This is the way I am. The plus is that, I get paid for being myself on the sets.(laughs)”

How is it being a part of a serial, centered on youth? How did you all get on so well? “Yes, all come from different backgrounds, but we connected together so well. We got comfortable with each other in no time. We built up great chemistry and that too very fast. It is a serial for the youth, and about youth. We all understand our roles very well. Moreover, I feel, playing our age, we can relate to our characters better. Our Director Nizar Parvez is also young, so he understands everything so nicely. It’s really good to be working under a young director. To me, it does not seem like work. It is a dream role for me, and I am having fun.”

Is there any difference between Armaan and Karan? “The only difference between Armaan and Karan is that, Armaan is made to wear lots of clothes, while I wear next to nothing.” You have an enormous fan following on our forum. Are you aware of this? “Yes, I am aware of the fan following I have in India-Forums. Actually, my parents who are based at Muscat regularly visit India-Forums, in fact my whole family visits. Whenever they tell me about this fan following, I get thrilled.” So why don’t you login and directly interact with your fans? “Yes, I will surely do that.”, says a jubilant Karan.

How is it working with Mohnish Behl? “I have looked up to his acting as I grew up. It is awesome to work with him, I learn a lot from him. This is one reason why my scenes with him come out so well. It is a great experience, altogether.”

Your Salsa dance with Riddhima was appreciated a lot. “Yes, the Salsa was planned by the creatives. The lovely clothes were designed by our producer’s wife, who is a designer by profession. We had only half an hour’s practice for the Salsa. But it was real fun doing it. I would like to tell you that there is one more dance coming up this week in the show. Since it is Garba season, we are doing a Garba dance; I presume it will be shown sometime this week. We wear complete authentic dresses, please watch this episode, it is going to be entertaining for sure.”

With Salsa and Garba happening, why are we not seeing you in any Dance reality show? “Yes, I and my girl friend Shraddha Nigam were actually invited for this season’s Nach Baliye. But I am so into Dill Mill Gaye, so I could not take it up.” Quickly he adds, “Probably the next time…”

Does it mean wedding bells in the near future? No marriage on cards as of now. We have not even talked to each other about it. (smiles)”, says the actor as he signs off.

this is an article abt dr.keerti
if posted before sorry

We wish Sonia the very best for her new change of direction. Catch Dill Mill Gayee on Star One.

DMG sets record in TRP-Article
The popularity of Karan Singh aka Dr Armaan of Dil Mil Gaye landed him in trouble recently. It all began when an intern on the show asks Dr Armaan for his number on an episode aired recently. The random cell number he uttered in the serial turned out to be an industrialist’s number. The man was inundated by calls from girls across the nation asking for Dr Armaan. Karan says, "The industrialist soon contacted the star CEO and told that everyday he gets a host of calls for Dr Armaan. He even threatened to sue the channel so I had to come on the show and tell everyone that they can reach Dr Armaan on Star One at 8.30 pm from Monday to Thursday."

The TRPs of the serial has reached 1.8, which is a record for Star One and the hit jodi of Armaan and Ridhima has become a household name. So how close is this jodi in real life?

Karan, who is very good friends with Shilpa, says, "In real life too I play a lot of pranks on Shilpa and trouble her on sets of Dil Mil Gaye. She is a wonderful co-artist to work with and I really enjoy her company." Before the serial was on air there was a lot of apprehension about its success. But with the soaring TRPs it looks like this pair is here to stay.

No time for South movies

Talking about popularity, Shilpa Anand, who plays Dr Ridhima in Dil Mill Gaye also enjoys her share of fans. With the soaring TRPs of Dil Mil Gaye the actor seems quite happy and is devoting all her time for the soap. Talking about the character she says, “Dr Ridhima is not just a character in the serial but is a portrayal of a 21 st century girl. the audience love her and enjoy the chemistry of Armaan and Ridhima.”

Shilpa who has done many advertisements for the small screen came into limelight after a cola ad with Amir Khan. Later she went on to act in a Telugu film and claims that she is inundated with offers to this day. But she is concentrating solely on DMG. She says, “I have done a Telugu movie Vishnu previously and I still keep getting offers from South Indian moviemakers. But the shooting schedules of DMG keeps me tied up so I am not venturing into any other serial or movie for now.”

Shilpa accuses Mohan Babu of manhandling:

Actor cum producer Mohan Babu has done it again. He allegedly slapped a heroine and her mother on the sets. The Jubilee Hills police on a Tuesday (July 22, 2003) registered case against him for intimidating and slapping heroine Shilpa Shivanand.

Shilpa alleged that when she refused to participate in a dance sequence, as she was not in mood to perform, Mohan Babu, producer of the film, came and beat her up. The incident took place on Tuesday at Annapoorna Studios, Hyderabad.

Mohan Babu is producing a film, VISHNU, introducing his son Vishnuvardhan Babu as hero. Shilpa Shivanand is playing the female lead. On the last day of the shooting (Tuesday) of the film, She complained that she was feeling sick. Mohan Babu had asked her to take an hours rest and join the shooting later. She refused. Known for his short temper, Mohan Babu grabbed her hair and beat her on the sets. Shilpa in her complaint accused Mohan Babu of "intimidating and beating her up."

The police registered case under the sections of 342, 323 and 506 of IPC. There were many instances of Mohan Babu beating up the unit members. And there are one or two cases too in various police stations in Andhra Pradesh. Shilpa Shivanand is the sister of well-known actress Sakshi Shivanand.

Shakshi Shivanand is known to have made life miserable for Mohan Babu when they were working together. Though, Shivanands are notorious for professional indiscipline, beating up her a heroine is equally unacceptable commented one film producer.

By Omer Farooq
BBC correspondent in Hyderabad

An Indian movie star has been charged with assaulting an actress who refused to kiss his son in a film scene.
Mohan Babu, a leading southern Indian film actor and former member of parliament, has been also booked for "wrongful confinement" and intimidation.

Kissing on screen is still a taboo in India...
The police said the incident took place at a studio in the southern city of Hyderabad on Tuesday evening during the filming of a Telugu-language film, Vishnu.

The film is being produced by Mohan Babu to launch his son Vishnu's movie career.

'Slapped' :

The actress, Shilpa Shivanand, says that Mohan Babu became angry with her when she did not take part in a song sequence which involved her kissing Vishnu.

Shilpa said that when she refused to do the scene again, an enraged Mohan Babu slapped her.

...but recent films are pushing the boundaries
When her mother Parveen Sivanand tried to intervene, she was also allegedly beaten up.

Following the assault, the actress says Mohan Babu followed them in to the make-up room and intimidated them, threatening them with legal action if she did not complete the filming.

Shilpa called her sister, who was in Bombay, who in turn contacted the Hyderabad police.

But when the police reached the studios it was empty.

The police traced the actress and her mother to a hotel in the city and recorded their statement there.

Later the actress along with her mother left for Bombay.

Mohan Babu has been unavailable for comment.

Telugu actor Mohan Babu accused of slapping actress:

Syed Amin Jafri in Hyderabad | July 23, 2003 | 14:51 IST

The police have registered a case against Telugu actor and former MP Mohan Babu for allegedly intimidating and slapping actress Shilpa Shivanand during the shooting of a film in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

Shilpa's sister is a Mumbai-based actress, Sakshi Shivanand.

The police booked the case under sections 342 (wrongful confinement), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (insult intended to provoke breach of peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation) IPC against the film actor-cum-producer at the Jubilee Hills Police Station.

The incident reportedly took place around 1500 IST at Annapurna Studios on the sets of a Telugu film titled Vishnu, wherein Mohan Babu's son Vishnuvardhan is making his debut opposite Shilpa Shivanand.

Shilpa had earlier acted in another Telugu film Bezawada Police Station three years ago.

In her complaint, Shilpa Shivanand alleged that Mohan Babu wanted Shilpa to do a kissing scene with Vishnu in a song sequence for the film, which is halfway through.

Not satisfied with the first take, Mohan Babu asked Shilpa to repeat the scene, which she refused.

An infuriated Mohan Babu allegedly abused her in filthy language, slapped her, caught her by her hair and dragged her, due to which she fell down and suffered minor injuries on her face.

The actress went to the make-up room and informed her mother Parveen Shivanand.

When the latter intervened, Mohan Babu allegedly got hold of her hair and pushed her, hurling abuses. He reportedly slapped her and threatened her of dire consequences if she did not leave the place immediately.

Shilpa and her mother left the scene in tears and lodged a complaint with the Jubilee Hills police around 1700 IST. Later, they left for Mumbai.

By the time the police went to the studios to investigate, everyone had packed up and left for the day.

They will be interrogated on Wednesday.

Report by - CNB photos - K.M. VEERESH Date - 21/7/2006 Time - 10.30 PM

Kannada film 'Soundarya' director I.E.Chennagangappa has decided to file one blackmail case and six criminal cases against actress Saakshi Shivanand for her irresponsible attitudes that has resulted in Rs.30 lakh loss to the film. The Switzerland trip to store three songs for the film has brought heavy tension for the former KAS officer Chennagangappa. Mr Chennagangappa had made Karimaleya Kaggatathalu and Nannaseya Hoove Kannada films in the past.

Saakshi Shivanand has a horrible past. At the time of shooting for 'Sainika' Kannada film at Kundapura she made a statement that she has a look like sister and when it is not possible for her to attend the shoot her sister would attend. According to the Kannada film producers who roped in Saakshi Shivanand allege disgusting experience. In Ghalate Aliyandru and in Thandege Thakka Maga Saakshi erratic behavior is already known.

Nakra it seems is in her blood!

"Saakshi Shivanand, her sister Shilpa and mother Parveen worked out a plot to grab money from me for no mistake of mine has perturbed me" says Chennagangappa speaking to Chitraloka at his office in Vijayanagar, Bangalore.

For the misplacement of Shilpa's passport at the passport office Mumbai has been the root cause for the muddle and Saakshi and her mother claiming Rs.24 lakha as compensation.

Saakshi Shivanand the heroine of Ramesh Aravind starring 'Soundarya' Kannada film directed by Chennagangappa agreed to come to Switzerland shooting with her mother and sister Shilpa. Saakshi also made it clear that her mother and sister are coming on their own and requested Chennagangappa to collectively get the passport for all them.

Accordingly passport was submitted to Switzerland passport office by Bright Tours and Travels of Chennai.

A few days before the departure on 6th July Saakshi Shivanand demanded for return of passport of her sister and told that she is not coming as she had been booked for United States of America for a program. When the passport was in the consulate office it was not possible to get it back unless it is stamped said the travel agent and she kept quiet.

But on the day of journey to Switzerland even before three hours of departure in Mumbai she did not turn up. At the last minute she turned up and asked for her, mother and Shilpa's passport. At this stage the tension and trauma for the production team started.

Like enacting before the camera Saakshi and her mother immediately told that there was an expired pass port missing of Shilpa which had a valid US visa.

The passport has to come back or the compensation of Rs.24 lakhs what Shilpa was supposed to earn from her American assignment has to be given to them by the Soundarya producers said the mother Parveen.

Totally lost in control of the situation the production in charge Mohammad consulted Mr Chennagangappa in Switzerland for further action.

Sensing something is going to be very precarious Chennagangappa said everything would be sorted to Saakshi and asked her to join for shooting for which she is already two days late. The compensation of Rs.24 lakhs what Saakshi is demanding for the loss of her sister assignment in US was divided between the Bright Tours and Travels and Chennagangappa. On taking an undertaking (on a white plain paper!) that compensation of Rs.12 lakhs would be given to Shilpa, Saakshi and Parveen went to Switzerland.

From here afterwards Chennagangappa recorded all his conversation with Saakshi Shivanand and controlled her further illogical and irresponsible attitudes.

In Switzerland also Saakshi did not attend for the shooting and once again demanded her money.

Saakshi now on the health grounds pretended to escape from shooting. She was given medical aid but the same Saakshi in the evening time was puffing cigarette on the river bank side says Chennagangappa.

After two days rest again Saakshi attended the shooting and with just one scene left for completion director Chennagangappa felt it is height of torture and asked Saakshi to pack off her luggage to India.

Roping in heroines from other languages has been in most of the cases has been horrible experience for Kannada film producers.

But for losing of the passport by the office why should a humble producers should be targeted is the question.

Call me Shilpa Anand:
When you refer to Shilpa Shivanand with that name, she usually gets peeved. She quickly request you to refer her as Shilpa Anand. The history goes like this. Her father's name is Siva Anand. Hence people call him as Sivanand. His elder daughter's name is Sonal Anand and younger daughter'a name is Silpa Anand. Sonal Anand changed her name to Sakshi Anand and entered. The journalists started calling her Shilpa Sivanand as her father is Sivanand. Since Sakshi is established as heroine, when her sister Shilpa Anand enter the people, they attributed Sivanand to Shilpa too.

NJALI WAS NEVER A BAD GIRL---sunaina
Sunaina Gulia aka Dr. Anjali plays the over zealous, ambitious doctor and sometimes selfish sister in Dill Mill Gayye. In conversation with our reporter Ranjini Nair, Sunaina tells us more about her character change in the serial .

How does it feel being a part of a show which has such good TRP's and so popular with the audience?

It feels great being a part of Dill Mill Gayye. It is great fun working with the cast and crew. They are all fun loving people and I feel really lucky to be a part of this serial.

Do you think the track of the serial, originally a hospital background, has now shifted to a love story?

Not at all. The title itself suggests that it is a love story. Every serial starts off with some or the other background and ours started off with the hospital as its background. But the story doesn’t only revolve around the love interest of the doctors but their lives too, what they do, how they handle the responsibilities and pressure at the hospital.

Anjali has gone through a major character change; Will she continue being a good sister and a friend, or is the change temporary?

Yes Anjali has undergone a character change and it is permanent. Anjali was never the bad girl (laughs), she was a just a bit selfish, but always good at heart. She helps her sister a lot and is always there for her.

What’s more in store for Anjali ? Whom will she go with? Armaan or Atul?

Actually I am not aware of the future track myself. I have no idea with whom Anjali ends up either, so I cannot say anything right now. As for me, I would like to go with everyone (laughs).

And whom do you share a good on- screen chemistry with?

Since all of us are from the same age group, we have a great rapport with one another. We hang out, have lunch and have a blast together. I have a great on-screen chemistry with all my co-stars.

Do you think television actors are more popular compared to film stars?

To a certain extent television actors are more popular with the audience. But I don’t think we can compete with the popularity of some of the big stars like Shahrukh Khan. Everyone dreams to be just like them.

What about your projects before Dill Mill Gaye?

Before Dill Mill Gaye, I did Kuch Love Kuch Masti and Ada on Sahara and Kabhi Haa Kabhi Naa on ZEE. I played the main protagonist in all these serials. After that, I did Travel shows for 2 years and now DMG.

What are your plans for the future? Any new projects?

Right now, I have no time for any new projects. Apart from Dill Mill Gaye I am hosting a travel show on VOJGEN channel and all my time is consumed shooting for these two shows.

One role that you would give an eye and limb to play?

I would love to try out different roles portraying different shades. But the one role I’ve always dreamt of doing is the role of Scarlett O’Hara in Gone with the Wind.

shilpa abt karan & dmg
Shilpa Anand talks about her relationship with 'Dill Mill Gaye' co-star Karan Singh Grover

Dr Riddhima and Dr Armaan have become the ‘it’ couple in tellydom. The love story of Shilpa Anand and Karan Singh Grover in the popular show ‘Dill Mill Gaye’ has had many romantics smitten. Shilpa confirms that she does share good vibes with co-star Karan even as she cautions, “We are good friends. The fact that we are comfortable with each other comes across on screen and that works for us.”

On the flip side, it is being said that the story has deviated from a hospital saga to a love story? “Oh no! It was decided right from the beginning that the focus would be on the love story. Our show only shares the name of the hospital ‘Sanjeevani’ with the previously similarly titled show.”

About her character she says, “Riddhima is this simple and goody-goody girl. But she is today’s girl. Her relationship with her father played by Mohnish Behl is beautifully portrayed.”

What has worked for Shilpa the most is her styling in the show—the Riddhima kurtas are in vogue. “I wasn’t aware of this myself. The entire credit should go to my stylist Sapna. She gave me this look with no heavy jewellery or loud make-up.”

What didn’t go down well with them however was her debut film ‘Ikraar’. The dud forced her to do television commercials and films down South. But right now it’s just ‘DMG’ that is taking up all her time.

pick of the week---for jan 1st week

Dil Mill Gayee

Scene of the Week: This week DMG fans were spoiled for choice with some awesome scenes by the cast. But foremost was the scene which AR fans have long waited for, the one where Riddhima confesses her love for Armaan. When Armaan's wound starts bleeding on duty and he goes into an exam room to tend to it, Riddhima follows him there and then offers to change the dressing for him. The scene where he says, that her words are the only thing causing him pain was truly memorable. Riddhima starts crying when she hears this and exclaims, "I hate you Armaan, I hate you!" Then he replies movingly, "But I love you." Then finally she admits she loves him, and the two enjoy a tearful embrace. One of the sweetest moments of the week, and of the show.

Dialogue of the Week: Atul delivered the funniest lines of all. He and Muskaan are sitting at a table in the canteen and he puts his sandwich down disdainfully, saying to Muskaan: Kabhi kabhi lagta hai ki mein bhi sandwich ki taraf hoon. Ek taraf Sanjeevani hai aur dusri taraf Anjali hai. Beech mein main hoon. Dono se bahut umeed hai, magar milta kuch nahin hai.

Style Icon of the Week: It would have to be Dr. Sapna, who has been rocking the halls of Sanjeevani in her fitted salwar suits. They are simply styled in soft colors. Her makeup also couldn't look more stunning and the effect has charmed us all. A far cry from the kurta and pants look she debuted in back in August, and way more appealing to the viewers.

Blooper of the Week: The biggest blooper belongs to Dr. Muskaan who fainted at the sight of some blood during her first assist in surgery. While it's true that it was her first time in the OR, one has to wonder how she made it through med school if the sight of blood was a problem for her. Although Shashank does reprimand Armaan for putting her in OR, it's really not his fault that Muskaan can't digest the conditions of a hospital. Imagine you are visiting a hospital and a doctor refuses to treat you as he/she is afraid of BLOOD, God Bless you!
