Choti Bahu 9th-13th November 09 Written Updates.
Monday 9th Nov.09
The episode begins with Dev asking Dadi after this we are leaving for Vrindavan? dadi says yes five married women have to put tika on you and remove nazar/evil eye and then we will leave. Dev says five, five will take two long, let's make do with one and then leave. Everyone laughs, Dadi calls Birju to get the plate and then asks Deepika, Mrinalini and 3 other women to put tika. All 5 women do the ceremony, then Dadi takes money and moves it around Dev and then gives it to Birju asking him to distribute it, Birju jokes that I thought you were giving me pocket money. Dadi then asks Dev to take blessings of ancestors.
Meanwhile, there is a prayer at Radhika's place too, some priests are chanting mantras, Vishaka who was outside comes back in to be seated. The priest says now grind this lentil/pulse so that Radhika can take this and get blessings from the ancestors. Devki proceeds to make the lentils into paste, and put it in some dough like substance . The priest then asks Shastriji to have the eldest person of the family come and light the diya first. Shastri family are looking at each other thinking about Amma(who is not seated right there). Shastriji nods at Devko who goes to get Amma, Devki goes towards the house and sees Amma with her belongings, Devki asks her where she is going, Amma says she is leaving this house. Everyone is shocked.
Part 2
Shastriji goes and asks Amma what are you saying? Amma says you are asking this lalla? From your words, I felt that this house doesnt need me, you have always said that I am the cause of every problem, so I was thinking that if I don't stay in this house, it will be good for this house, all troubles will go away. Shastriji says my words have saddened you, I ask for forgiveness. I had no intention of hurting you, a home is not home w/o a mother. Amma says you are a big Shastri no, you told me that the consequences of my action, I have to suffer in this life only, so I am going to stay by the Yamuna and earn some punyas and wash off my sins. Radhika goes and falls to Amma's feet, Amma says chuyiho mat, chuyiho mat moko(don't touch me), why are you crying, you must be happy I am leaving. Radhika folds her hands and says don't leave Amma, because of me you have to leave home, don't leave this house needs you a lot. Amma says mann ma ladoo phoot rahein honge ki ee bala hamesha ke liye jaa rahe hai(you must be very happy that this problem is going away forever). Shastriji says no Amma, radhika really wants you to stay, you place is top most in our minds, you will tell us the difference between right and wrong, how will anyone consider you a problem?
Suddenly, a car arrives there, everyone looks on, a lawyer has arrived. He introduces himself as the Purohit lawyer and Shastriji asks him how come he is here. The lawyer smiles and says why are you all so worried, I am just here to take signature on some papers. Vishaka seems surprised. Shastriji asks what papers. The lawyer says actully Dev Rajpurohit has decided to put his entire wealth in Radhika's name. Amma is standing right behind Radhika and she moves to look and she looks stunned. Vishaka and devki are happy. The lawyer continues that is why I have come here for her signature, what are you thinking Shastriji, don't you know how lucky your daughter is? You know after she goes there, she will be the head of 28 mutts, she will also be the head of 28 trusts and 19 schools. Amma is shocked. Other than this, 9 farmhouses and god knows how many bungalows and all this the Purohit family is doing because they think that their going to be Choti Bahu has a right to all this. Radhika looks on. Amma in her mind thinks that this is the height of injustice, whatever was supposed to be Vishaka's, all this is being given to Radhika. If I leave, then everyone will throw Vishaka away like a fly from milk.
Part 3
The lawyer says Shastriji please tell radhika to sign these papers. Shastriji says right now, how about after sometime, after we finish the marriage festivities? The lawyer says Shastriji dev babu wanted this done before marriage and that is why he sent me before the baraat/wedding procession could come. Shastriji says I understand but right now we have the prayer for our ancestors. Amma puts her stuff down and says I am not going anywhere, everyone is happy. Amma goes in. The lawyer says ok, I will leave the papers here, please have Radhika sign it. Devki tells Shastriji that they have sent the lawyer in a hurry, if radhika doesn't sign, what will they think? Shastriji stops the lawyer and says we will have it signed now. Radhika signs all the papers.
Meanwhile a priest is doing puja outside their house on Dev and the wedding car. Dev is impatient and asks if we can leave. Dadi smiles and says to sit, they all sit and drive off. Shastriji comes into the house, he tells one lady to put Amma's stuff in her room and asks another to take people for lunch. Shastriji goes near Amma and sits down and says by not leaving, you have saved me from a bad deed, if any mother leaves being angry with her child, there is no greater unfortunate than that, your continued blessings and support on this house is what we wish for. Amma smiles and says what you told me I will never forget, being the eldest, what is my duty, you have told me. Shastriji says Devki and I are going to the dharmshala, Purohit parivar will be there and they leave. Radhika then goes and tells Amma it is goodyou stayed Amma, without you, the happiness in this house is incomplete. Amma says I stayed because of you and then leaves. Radhika is happy. Shastriji is checking the the preparations for the wedding, suddenly someone screams the baraat has come, Devki and Shastriji greet Dev, Dadi and all the others. Shastriji hugs everyone including Chacha. Shastriji and Devki feed everyone, Dadi says, I do not see Amma, should she be greeting me (being of same age?) Shastriji says she is at home due to tasks there. Deepika then calls Dadi for something and Dadi leaves.
Part 4
Amma goes and prays in her room saying I know God will come in the form of a human and says says his thing and this house's problem is Radhika. I want to save lalla's house, I want to save Vishaka's fate, what to do, should I throw Radhika in the Yamuna, should I leave her in the jungle, what to do? Show me the way, Show me the way God.
Meanwhile, Shastriji asks Devki if Radhika is ready for Gauri puja, he will check. Vishaka is getting Radhika ready and she says I do not understand Gauri puja, when you got your husband, why pray to Gauri for a husband? Radhika explains that we don't just pray for a good husband, but also that we become good wives, just like Parvati, she is her husband's love, faith and strength (Shastriji walks in and listens and is happy). Shastriji says what do I teach my daughter, God willing you forever have this thirst of knowledge. Shastriji says what an ironical problem, when a daughter comes into the house, the father starts planning for her wedding, but as soon as the wedding approaches, the impending separation from his daughter comes before him. Radhika is upset. Shastriji says there aren't so many tears when a dream is fulfilled as when a daughter leaves the house after getting married. Radhika wipes her father's tears and goes into his arms. Vishaka watches and smiles. Shastriji says he will go, Devki is waiting with the thali.
Radhika and Vishaka are about to leave, Vishaka's cell phone rings, Vishaka asks Radhika to leave and goes to pick up the phone. Purab says I can't believe you wanted to hide such a big truth from me but still I found out why you have came back to Vrindavan. Vishaka is surprised. Purab says I am upset that you didn't even share it with me. Vishaka says Purab it is a matter of one night, noone knows and noone should come to know. Your promise me you won't tell anyone. Purab says ok. Vishaka says ok I will keep the phone down and Vishaka turns around and sees Radhika looking at her.

Last scene:
Radhika and Vishaka are about to leave, Vishaka's cell phone rings, Vishaka asks Radhika to leave and goes to pick up the phone. Purab says I can't believe you wanted to hide such a big truth from me but still I found out why you have came back to Vrindavan. Vishaka is surprised. Purab says I am upset that you didn't even share it with me. Vishaka says Purab it is a matter of one night, no one knows and no one should come to know. Your promise me you won't tell anyone. Purab says ok. Vishaka says ok I will keep the phone down and Vishaka turns around and sees Radhika looking at her
Vish turns and sees Rads. They both look at each other. Rads asks which truth are you trying to hide. Tell me. Vish is shocked and replies that the Bombay media is looking for me and I do not want them to know I am in VN. All the media will come here and then there will be lot of drama. I told them I am going abroad and I do not want them to come for your wedding and create drama. But why did you come back. Oh I came because I forgot the chunnari for the temple.
They show Dev calling, while Rads says I want to drink water, Vish says OK we will wait out. They all go and Rads goes towards the kitchen. The phone bell rings. Best Scene. Rads says hears Dev's voice and is very happy. Dev says you must be wondering why I have called few hours before the wedding, but every moment has become so hard. We are going to become one. But to wait for that moment is long way yet. Rads says, if we remember each other for that every moment the time will pass soon. But I am feeling little anxious. Dev says why? Rads says my own will be separated from me. Dev says but you are getting me who is your very own and I will become yours for ever and ever.. Rads says that is true. Dev says I can understand that you are coming to new home and all will be different, but I will be there for you. I promise you I will be same, your Dev as you have known me always. I will never change, I will be always the one whom you loved. But Rads, I feel like meeting you, Rads says but now, we will meet for the pheres, He says yes but. Someone calls Rads and she says I have to go as all are waiting for me. Dev says OK see you soon.
There they show the temple, so beautiful song, scene and Rads is doing the pooja of Shiva and Guari. Very Beautiful.
Rads prays and puts the sindhoor on her head and prays, that please bless my husband with long life as you had bless mata sita. I should have a good and happy married life with my husband. Please bless me. She walks back with the family to home. They show Shiva Gauri idols for long time. They shoe Brihu coming and is hiding something behind his back. He sees amma. Amma says why you have come. He says he has come to see Rads. Amma says she has gone to temple. What have you got? He says Dev has send something for Rads. She says give it to me. They and she takes the gift and says do not worry it will go to the right CB. Briju leaves with some concern as he himself did not give the gift.
Part 2
Amma takes the gift and opens and see a very beautiful silver payal and hides it. Dev is waiting for Briju. He asks Briju did you give the gift in Rads hand, was she able to open near you or not? What did she say when she saw the gift? Briju says I was not able to give it in her hands. Dev says What? Briju says Amma took the gift and said she will give it to Rads. Dev says Ammaji. (He knows what amma is) He says you should have waited to give to Rads. I gave you one work and you did not do it right. Briju says I was ready to wait but Amma said she will give and that Rads has gone to temple and it will take long for her to come. Dev is really upset. They show Shastriji asking for the best time for the pheras. Priest says from night 10 pm to morning is the best time. They show Rads and all coming from the temple with the music. Shastriji aks did all the pooja go well. Rad nods. He tells Devki to get her ready and the Bharat will start soon. Rads is feeling shy. Devki tells Vish to get Rads ready as she will attend guests. They all go in. Amma looks with anger.
There they show Dev in Red kurta with gold in deep thoughts. Briju says we have to get ready soon, whose thoughts are you in. Dev says what thoughts I am in? I am thinking that over there Rads must be getting ready as a bride too as I am getting ready here. They show Rads getting ready. They show long beautiful bindi in her hair, there they show Dev wearing a very beautiful long silk dull gold jacket and saying now Rads must be wearing necklace in her neck and they show Rads putting necklace and chains. They show Dev putting, red chunnari round his neck and saying now she must be putting kangans and bangles in her hand and there they show Rads hands with bangles and Kangans. My god they both look so good while getting ready.
Part 3
They show Rads putting all the jewels in her hands, Dev is putting sword in his waist. He says now she must be putting earrings in her ears and they show the earrings being put in Rads ears. My god she looks so beautiful. You really cannot write or give full justice to writing both of them getting ready. You have to see it. The expressions and the feeling in Dev's voice. All the family comes to Dev's room and they are so happy to see him dressed as groom. Briju says you are ready. He says yes. Dadi comes and says they say you do get nazar from you own, but today you may get from me, so let me put you black tika. She puts it behind his ears. She says you look so good today. Dev says why I do not look everyday then. The clowns are looking with funny faces. Dadi, just laughs at him and all of them are laughing and Dev is laughing. Dadi says Ok let us put the pagari and the turban. Deepika says who will tie. Vivek says arjan will put. As I cannot stand to tie. Dev looks at him. He says so what, I can sit near you and you should tie me. He sits on the bed and vivek starts to tie and rajan helps. But they need one more person to help. Dadi says it is men's ritual, ladies cannot help. Vivek says than who will help. Dev says I have one more brother who will help. He calls Brihu and says you will help. Briju has tears and says sure. They all tie the truband and my god Dev looks like a prince. Alle Dev fans are going to go crazy. They show all are happy. Dev is thinking. He says I am very sure that Rads must be looking the most beautiful bride in the world. There they show them covering Rads head. Vish says you look so beautiful. Look carefully in the mirror as to how you look, your own nazar may come to you. Rads is looking slowly up, while Dev is saying, now she will wear the payal I send and will enter my home with bell sound. They show Amma comes in and is looking at Rads and Vish as rad is looking in mirror. She says yes get ready but the payal will be worn by Vish the one sent by Dev. She comes and tells you do not want to get ready Vish. Rads says Yes go and get ready. Vish leaves. Amma gives bad looks to Rads. Rads is quite and amma walks out. They show Vish says I am ready. Amma says wait, I want you to wear this payal and sit with her. Vish loves the payal. Vish says where did you get it from. Amma says do not worry about where it came from, it was meant for you as your luck. They both are happy and looking at each other. She puts black tika so no nazar comes to her.

The episode begins with Amma putting the payals on Vishaka's feet, Vishaka is happy and tells Amma she is going to Radhika's room, on the way out, she sees the foil/gift wrap, Amma realises Vishaka knows it's a gift. Vishaka opens the foil and says Gift wrapper, Amma did this come from Purohit Parivaar? Amma says yes, if it came then? Vishaka says Amma aapne mujhse jhoot kyun bola (why did you lie to me?). Amma looks down. Vishaka says you said you bought this for me and you couldn't give it to me. Amma says I thought if you heard it came from there, you would refuse to wear it. Vishaka says but Amma, this came from Purohit parivvar, that means it came for Radhika and not me. Amma smiles and touches Vishaka'scheek and says no, the payal has come from there for you, see they must have felt they did wrong, they did injustice with you, so to please you, they sent the payal, this payal belongs to you only. Suddenly Vishaka receives a call, she sees it is Purab, answers the phone and says fine, ok, bye and she leaves the room. Amma is very happy and says Dev babu ki di huyi paayal Vishaka ne pehen liyo hai, bada accha shagun hai (Vishaka has worn Dev's given payal, it is a very good sign), this means Thakurji/God is with me and whatever I want to do, I have his blessings.
Vishaka comes outside again and she meets Purab and says what is the matter Purab, your coming here again and again is not right. Purab says whatever you are about to do is not right either. Vishaka says don't teach me, I know very well what to do and when to do it. Purab says then why wait, you won't get an opportunity again and again. Amma meanwhile comes out and asks some women for where Vishaka is. Vishaka meanwhile tells Purab that you are trying to explain to me what my next step should be, whatever Vishaka has done, she had done according to her wishes. Amma opens the tent covering and sees both of them talking. Amma overhears Purab saying fine cuties do whatever you want to do but put one thing in your mind, today is the wedding night and we do not have time, whateevr you have to do, do it tonight. Amma is surprised to hear this and you...Vishaka interrupts aur main sahi mauke ke talaash me hoon (and I am waiting for the right moment), what I have come here to do, only you know and the truth that you know, it will be better that remains with you. I have thought something and come here, and I will do it and noone can stop me from doing it. Amma is very happy on hearing this.
Part 2
Radhika and Dev are dressed (both look absolutely stunning), they both are thinking about each other, a song Chaand si Mehboob is playing. They are both remembering past moments, Dev is remembering the first time they met, Karva Chauth,merry go round scene, Dev putting haldi on Radhika's cheeks, kissing her. They show Radhika thinking and looking so beautiful. Suddenly Dev hears Birju calling for him and leaves. Meanwhile Vishaka enters Radhika's room and clicks her paayal, Radhika turns around and says such pretty payals. Vishaka says yes Amma gave me, you know who sent them- your sasuraal(in-laws), I think radhika they have forgiven me. Radhika is very happy and says see just like they have forgiven you, tomorrow they will welcome you as well. Vishaka is thinking. Radhika says I will remember you a lot. Vishaka says won't I remember you, without you, I won't survive. Remember as kids, you used to do everything, I just used to rest, you used to do all my work, you used to give me all your dolls even, you have spoilt me a lot Radhika, you have given me so much that...Radhika says after going to Mumbai, you have become so intelligent, looking at you, it doesn't seem you are the same Vishaka. (There is villian music as Vishaka looks at her),Vishaka says jo dikta hai, woh hota nahi hai Radhika, samjhi? (whatever you see, that is not what it seems, got it?) radhika says I don't want to understand anything, I just know that I got my sister back. They hug. Vishaka says your forehead jewelry does not look good, what I bought from Mumbai, you wear that, I will go get it and she leaves.
Part 3
Devki and Shastriji are arranging some flowers and are discussing the placement of the mandap, Devki says it's too far and Shastriji says it is according to vaastu. Shastriji says the baraat/wedding party will reach at the first hour of night, Dev's Dadi's wish is that Amma greets her. Devki looks at him, Shastriji says and you know Amma's attitude already. Amma comes out to talk to one of the ladies, Shastriji and Devki go to talk to Amma. Shastriji says I wanted to talk to you about greeting the guests, Amma seems happy and says yes yes, tell Lalla. Shastriji says you are the eldest family and you have to fulfil your responsibility, when the baarat comes to the house, you have to greet Dadi at the entrance. Amma smiles, Shastriji says I request you to not say/do anything...Amma interrupts and says I understand what you are trying to say Lalla, don't worry, I know my responsibilities well, I am very happy, God has given me indications that I should be happy, now you will never see me sad. Shastriji and Devki are happy and they touch her feet, she leaves.
Meanwhile Mrinalini is getting ready, Arjun enters the room and says wow, you are looking georgeous. Mrinalini seems irritated and goes and sits down. Arjun bends down near her and says but one thing doesn't match this beautiful attire- this anger, you can smile. Mrinalini gets up and says have you finished saying your nonsense or is there more left? Mrianlini says everything is going from our hands Arjun, I cannot give them a waaris/grandchild, she will give it to them and that is why all the property is going to her, I was able to control Vishaka but when radhika was nothing, she answered me back so now? Now she will be the Choti Bahu, god knows what will happen. Arjun says the person who can help is quiet right now na,I am talking about Vaishali. Mrinalini says there is na that Ammaji, if I had my way, I would strangle her and shoot her with a pistol, let me find out what she is doing. Mrinalini picks up the phone to call Amma, Amma greets Mrinalini and says congratulations. Mrinalini says you are wishing me, you people just know how to talk big, when time comes you are the first people to accept defeat and sit, damnit, here Dev is ready with his baraat and you are quiet. Amma says then come na with the baraat, I am waiting for the baraat of your brother-in-law. Mrinalini says intezaar, aapka dimag kharab ho gaya hai(is your mind spoilt/have you gone mad?), Amma says aur nahi to ka? (yes, then what?), I am very happy, it is my granddaughter's wedding. Mrinalini says your granddaughter? Amma says that is what I am saying, you bring the baraat first, with your devar/brother-in-law, only my granddaughter will get married. Mrinalini is very happy and says this is what I am talking about, now you see how I get my devar's baraat.
Part 4
Vivek is calling for Birju to bring Dev, Dev comes out, Vivek says it is so late, where are all of you? Dadi and Vaishali also come there, Dadi says first only Dev was in a hurry, now you also? Everyone laughs, Mrinalini says this baraat cannot leave yet, everyone is looking at her surprised. Dadi asks why, Mrinalini says why meaning, why are you all looking at me like that? I only wanted to say that my dev'as baraat is going, my devraani/younger sis-in-law is coming, this is the time to celebrate,Deepika come let's prepare, everyone sit down, Dev cmon and she takes him to sit. Mrinalini then proceeds to sing Lo chali main devar ki baraat(from Hum aapke hai kaun), Vaishali is surprised to see this, Mrinalini takes dadi to dance, she also Dev to dance. Vaishali is really shocked to see this. Dev, Dadi are happy. Suddenly Mrinalini shows this picture of Radhika and teases Dev with it, she then gives Dev the picture. She then gets Arjun to dance, Deepika is happily watching. Vaishali leaves and Mrinalini sees this and follows Vaishali and tells her I know you are not happy with this wedding,Vaishali says if I am not happy, what difference does it make to you? You are happy, go dance and celebrate, you have forgotten that you were the one who didn't want Radhika to enter our house. Mrinalini says that I still don't want, Vaishali says really? looking at you out there, it didn't look like it. Mrinalini says that is because I spoke to Ammaji and she said that with Dev's baraat, the real Choti bahu/her grand daughter will only come. Vaishali is very happy on hearing this. Vaishali says the real choti bahu, that means Vishaka. Both are very happy at the thought.
Precap: Amma is fighting with Devki about Vishaka saying she is that house's choti bahu. Devki is angry says Vishaka is nothing of that house, Dev did not marry Vishaka nor did saath pheres with her, not filled her maang with sindoor, nor put the mangalsutra on her. Amma is staring at Devki.

Aama is very happy and even helps Devki in wedding preparations. Devki is surprised by this change. Aama answers it is good to help out when one has a function at home. Vishaka comes in with her payals and asks what she must do for the dwar char rasam (The rasam near the door where the sister has to stop the husband and she gets shagun ki money in exchange). Devki tells Vishaka that she will not be able to perform that rasam, as she has been the CB of that house and she has caused them much trouble. Vishaka tells Devki that but they have forgiven me now, see (she lifts her dress) they have gifted me these payals. Aama claims that she was about to inform her but it slipped her mind. Aama adds you need to listen to your mother now, it will be better if you do not perform that rasam. Vishaka says but you said that by sending these payals they forgave me. Aama replies I know I said that but it is better if you don't come in front of them. There is a time and a way for everything and bid your time. Flashbacks are shown of the scene between Vishaka and Purab. Vishaka leaves. Devki says it is very good that you have explained to Vishaka and asks but when did they send these payals. Aama answers fearlessly that they had sent these payals for their Choti Bahu, I gave it to Vishaka. Devki looks constipated. Devki stands up and rebukes Aama for starting again, she says you have to stop; Vishaka has nothing to do with that house. Aama retorts what are you saying; Vishaka is that house Choti Bahu. Devki replies Vishaka means nothing to that family, Dev babu never married Vishaka, they did not take saath pheres, he did make her wear vermillion, he did put mangalsutra on Vishaka. Aama answers I know all that, you are right. She says you have done the right this by saying all this. I have understood now that whatever did not happen in the last marriage, will have to happen in this marriage. Devki looks dumb uh I mean numb with shock.
Part 2
Aama is smiling like a baboon, and says this time I will get Vishaka married to Dev properly and making her do all the rasams. Devki is speechless. Aama says why you aren't saying anything; you need to drink the water after washing my feet. Aama says don't you have any concern for your own child. Devki says what are you saying Aama, we will not repeat our mistakes; this is an opportunity to redeem ourselves and you are saying to commit that paap again. Devki says by lying to my husband once I am still repenting. Aama gets frustrated and says you have lost your mind. She calms herself and tries to manipulate Devki. She says can't you see the signs that Thakurji is showing us. Thakurji is showing me the way, he wants that justice prevails. Devki retorts you cannot twists reality to suit your purposes and your wishes. Aama ogles angrily. Devki says no matter what we do, whatever is meant to be happens. We had sent Vishaka there, didn't we, but she herself ruined her own life there. Aama looks down at that probably here mind has gone on mute. Devki continues and look at Thakurji's way of rendering justice, Dev second marriage was set with Radhika, all the rasams were performed by Radhika only even during Vishaka's marriage. Then you could not understand the signs. Devki says Dev babu took the pheres with Radhika, and in his kundli there is only one marriage written, you do understand what that means. Devki adds understand one thing what you want cannot happen and will not happen and at that Aama opens her eyes wide open like a daayin. Devki adds because I will not let it happen.
Birju is dancing on a song 'mera yaar bana dulha' (my friend is now a groom) for Dev who is looking regal. Festivities are ongoing. In the song, he asks please pray that my wedding will happen soon and Dadi blesses him. Dev looks very happy.
Part 3
Radhika is in her dulhan getup and is looking mind-blowing; she is in the house main prayer room. Vishaka walks by deep in thoughts. Radhika notices her and tells her to sit with her. She asks why she is looking so forlorn. Vishaka replies that she wanted to perform the dwar chaar rasam but Aama and Ma told her not to. Radhika asks why. Vishaka replies that they say they will not like it. Radhika says but they have forgiven you now isn't it, they have gifted you payal. Radhika says you only do that rasam, and Ma and Aama will understand. Nandu walks to Radhika and says Didi you are looking very beautiful like a queen. Vishaka asks and me. Nandu (mwaaah Iove you Nandu) replies theek hai (its alright). She is a bit bummed by that. One lady walks to her and says Vishaka you are looking fabulous, anyone will get confused whether it is you or Radhika who is the bride. (How come everyone has conveniently forgotten that she was previously Purohit runaway CB?) Vishaka and Radhika smiles. The lady says they will let us know as soon as the bharaat, be ready. The ladies leave. Vishaka asks Nandu what is he thinking (he was looking intently at her). Nandu replies you do like beautiful like a bride, but do what you did last time. Radhika stops smiling. Vishaka asks what do you mean. Nandu replies that Radhika didi was the one who got married, yet you were the one who went in the dholi. Aama and Devki walks by at that time and overhears. Aama is boiling with rage. Radhika tries to pacify him. Aama smiles and tries to manipulate Nandu. She says Bal Gopal sweetly but with menacing undertones that he must never repeat what he has just said otherwise all the jalebis will come out. Nandu nods and but adds I will never say it. Aama tells him to go and to someone who will give him jalebis. She tells Vishaka to take Radhika inside. They both leave. Aama tells Devki that kids take the form of God, and try to understand what that bal gopal just said. This is what God wishes. Radhika is worried. Vishaka tries to pacify her and says everything will be fine. The difference between then and and now is that this time there will be no deceit. Suddenly the phone rings. Vishaka tells him that she will talk to him later. Radhika asks why Purab is calling repeatedly, is there anything wrong. Vishaka fobs that because we did not invite him for the wedding he is irritating me again and again. Vishaka says leave it, and says from where will you throw the rice for the bharaat. She says from the roof, no, from the window, Radhika replies but someone will see. Vishaka says she will arrange everything and that way you will be able to see Dev as you have not seen him for many days.
Part 4
It is now Deepika's turn to dance. Arjun looks unimpressed. Even Mrinalini joins her. Everyone look happy. Devki says Nandu is just a child. He meant... Aama stops her and says I know what he meant. Whatever did not happen in the last happen will now happen in this marriage. Devki says why are you interpreting wrongly. Aama says you cannot understand anything, I have opened my eyes to the reality of things and you are still blinded, and it is my duty to show you the way. Devki says it is not me who needs to understand, it is you, you are blinded by your love for Vishaka, Thakurji has given us the opportunity to correct the wrong we did. Aama haughtily says I have never such a bigger fool like you, you is more worried about a stranger's fate than her own, is trying to settle a maid's life. Think about your own daughter. As long as we are here, it is fine, but thinks when we will all be gone; she will be left all alone. When society will reject her, you will cry over her fate. You are bent to settle an orphan and become a saint. But it is our own blood you have to think about. You haven't read Mahabharata. I am only following what is written in Mahabharata. Kunti supported her own blood and you are bent in settling that maid's life. She asks what she is thinking. Devki says it is not a matter of being my kin or not. Aama tells her to stop and robot Devki does as the mistress asks. Aama says I know one thing only, that my Vishaka must get her rights. Aama says lets go outside now, the bharaat is coming. She turns around and says bear in mind this bharaat is coming for your daughter.
Precap: Dev is saying to Shastriji that he knows he will never find a better life partner than Radhika. I swear that my wedding to Radhika will happen at all costs. I am willing to accept Radhika whichever way she is, because she is my love.

Friday 13th Nov.09
The episode begins with Dadi coming over to Vaishali and asking, all these things are for chadhava right? She uncovers a red cloth and there is a pile of papers tied together. She exclaims, Arre the inheritance papers Rads' signed are just kept here? Camera focuses on sneaky expressions of Susheel and Arjun. Dadi calls Birju to take the papers and place them in a file to give to Tripathiji. Vivek turns to Dev and playfully says see how nicely all the preparations are done. If you have any other other requests, state them now otherwise don't complain later. Dev replies bhaiya, have I ever complained to you about anything? Vivek then says to Dadi, so shall we take the baaraat out? Deepika comes over and says the shagun ka tel (oil) which is to come from the bride's side has not been applied to the doorways, so how can we take the baaraat out? Vivek asks why it has not come and Susheel makes a crack that the bride's side probably forgot or didn't think it within their means since oil is so expensive these days. Dadi, Dev, and Vivek are upset by his comments. Mrin and Arjun are smiling like evil little baboons, and just then Shastri walks in with the shagun oil. He apologizes to Dadi for the delay saying there was so much work going on. Dadi happily takes the thali with the oil in it from Shastriji. Deepika says, oh only oil? In my marriage there was chadhava with the oil too. Susheel makes another crack and says in this marriage the Ganges is flowing backwards. The grooms' side is not asking for dowry but rather doing chadhava after chadhava for the bride's side. Just take the papers of Dev's inheritance for example...even before the wedding, Dev's share of the inheritance has been handed over to the bride. Dev and Shastriji look very upset and Susheel sarcastically says, what's wrong Shastriji, have I offended you? I just meant to say you have certainly chosen the right groom for your daughter. Shastriji replies that he knows exactly what Susheel meant to say. Then he folds his hands and says, I don't want anything and neither does my daughter. She only wants your love...your blessings...the opportunity to serve all the members of the Purohit family as the choti bahu of the household. Shastriji then addresses Dadi and states that after being insulted this way (by Susheel), he's not so inclined to welcome the baaraat to come to his home and that they should think about it once more before proceeding to bring the baraat. Dev is shocked and the camera does a 360 on him. Other Purohits are also speechless. Dev immediately apologizes to Shastriji.
Part 2
Dev continues that he never wanted it to be that Radhika considered herself smaller than him or unworthy in any way. He says, that's why before she sets foot in our home I gave her her rights (putting the inheritance in her name). I give you a promise Babuji, that mine and Radhika's marriage will happen at any cost and under all circumstances. I will accept her in any way, shape, or form no matter what. (Mangalam Bhagavan Vishnu is playing in the background). Dadi adds that we only wish Radhika to enter our home wearing the sanskaron ki chunari (cloth of good upbringing) that you have draped her in and the ornts of pavitrata (purity) that you have decorated her with. I would give not only the family inheritance, but all the wealth in the world to gain such a daughter-in-law! Shastriji becomes pacified and Dadi tells him to go home and prepare for the kanyadan (giving away of daughter in marriage) as they will come soon with the baaraat to bring Radhika home. Dev looks so happy while Vaishali and Mirchas look uneasy and upset. Scene shifts to Shastri home and beautiful Rads is standing near the window. Devaki comes into the room, looks at her, then starts to leave. Rads turns around and says, Ma you are leaving without saying anything? Devaki is teary-eyed and says no bitiya, I just came in to see if you were ready. Your father has taken the shagun oil over to the groom's side and they will be departing with the baaraat any moment now. Rads says, yes I am ready, Vishaka got me ready with her own hands. She tells Devaki to sit with her for some time and asks her what's troubling her. Devaki says nothing, it's just that there is so much work to do, I am a little tired that's all. Rads says I too forgot to ask you how you are. I have been so wrapped up in my happiness about my wedding that I cannot think of anything else. Devaki says Radhika do you really think you could forget about me despite everything? Rads takes Devaki's hands in hers and says Ma you always worry about everyone. After I leave you will look after babuji and Amma, but who will look after you? Devaki replies that Vishaka is here to look after me and Rads says yes, but soon she too will get married and leave, then what? Devaki looks down and Rads tells her not to worry, Vishaka has changed a lot and surely babuji will forgive her and even find a good husband for her. She will be a good daughter-in-law to any household she goes to. Devaki and Rads hug and Devaki is thinking, how can such injustice be done with such a good girl? Please Kanha, please give some enlightenment/understanding to Amma that what she's planning is wrong. Please save my Radhika!
Part 3
Susheel is shouting orders to the servants and tells Birju that a responsible person is needed to handle the horse Dev will ride on and Birju should go quickly. Dadi says wait Susheel, let him also see his brother's sehra. Susheel says fine and Birju thanks him and is so happy. He asks Dadi if he can tie Dev's sehra and Dadi laughs and says no, this ritual is done by the sister-in-laws. She calls over Mrin and Deepika and Deepika comes over with a tray of dates and says they have to do chadhava of dates too. She asks Mrin can I stand next to you jiji, so that I will look nice in the photos. Mrin makes a face and says how many times have I told you not to call me jiji? Deepika looks a little hurt. Mrin then ties on the sehra and makes a big show of it, taking some kaajal from her eyes and applying it to Dev's head and saying may no one's evil eyes be cast upon my brother-in-law. She then places some dates in his hands. Deepika and others do the same and Birju jokes that Dev must be falling to pieces waiting to leave from there with the baaraat. Dadi laughs and says you're right Birju, lets get going. Over at Shastri house Rads is wiping Devaki's tears saying now now Ma, that's enough. Delhi is not too far from Vrindavan. I will come running to visit you when I wish to. Vish comes in and Rads says Ma look how pretty the paayals look on her feet. Devaki cries and says bitiya, these paayals came from your in-laws...for you. Rads and Vish both look shocked.
Part 4
Rads looks at Vish for a moment as if she understands that something is not right and Vish looks guilty, like she's hiding something. But the moment passes and Rads says, it's o.k. Ma, these paayals look much better on Vishaka. Devaki gives Vish a pathetic look and then leaves. Rads calls Vish over to her to sit down. She then grabs a handful of air and closes her palm. She tells Vish, before this flies away quickly put it on your face. Vish hesitatingly asks what is this? Rads says, your smile. Your face does not look nice or complete without a smile. She pats Vish on the head and smiles and Vish looks like the cat who swallowed the canary. Scene switches to the Purohits departing with the baaraat. The band is playing Shayad Meri Shaadi Ka Khayal (popular old song from the Rajesh Khanna-Tina Munim movie) and Birju is shouting orders to the light people that all of Vrindavan should be lit up today. Vivek tells him to tell the people in charge of the fireworks to light up the sky as soon as Dev descends from the horse. Dadi, Vaishali, and family bring Dev out and Dadi does aarti to him. The song Dulha Bangaya Oye from...yikes...'Vivah' is playing! Dev ascends the horse, pushes aside his sehra for a moment and smiles with anticipation. Rads is shown waiting by the window also smiling in anticipation. Fireworks are lit in the baaraat's path and the baaraat members and guests start dancing. Song changes (band is playing something, but I don't recognize what song it is). At Shastri house, Shastriji is making arrangements for the baaraat's arrival. Someone comes up to him and says the garlands for the milani are not enough as there are 110 members of the baaraat but only 100 garlands. Shastriji tells him to see to it that it's fixed and also fetch the dhoti and saree that are kept for the ceremony. Scene cuts back to Dev's baaraat (band is now playing Shayad Meri Shaadi Ka Khayal again). Mrin and Arjun are dancing and laughing together while poor Deepika is dancing alone. Dadi and Birju are also dancing a lot. Baaraat is approaching fast and Shastriji asks for the puja thali. He's told it's kept in the mandap and Shastriji says what's it doing there, bring it fast we need it NOW! Also, arrange refreshments for the baaraatis. He then frantically calls for Devaki and tells her the baaraat is almost here, hurry and come. Devaki spots evil chudail Amma heading towards the house and says Amma, where are you going, the baaraat is almost here. Amma, with a determined and evil look on her face, says she is going into the house to do what she has decided needs to be done. Devaki is freaking out but tells Amma that she will not allow her to do anything wrong. Amma says nothing and nobody can stop her and tells Devaki try to stop me if you really have any guts. Devaki follows the chudail into the house shouting Amma, Amma stop! Amma walks into the bedroom and sees only Vishaka there. Vish looks at her and says someone has come to meet Radhika and is outside. Episode ends with Amma glaring at Vish and Vish with a weird smile on her face.
Precap: Dev is slowly lifting the bride's veil and smiling. We are not shown the bride's face but the necklace is the same as the one Radhika is wearing. The theme music from the film Hum Dil De chuke Sanam is playing in the background.
