'Maria and I aren't splitting'

Arshad Warsi Actor Arshad Warsi is in the news. Though he's very confident of Golmaal Returns ' run at the BO, his marriage with Maria Gorretti is on tenterhooks. In Wai, currently shooting for Vishal Bhardwaj's next, Arshad speaks exclusively to Indiatimes Movies about his films, home production and of course his much speculated marital status!

With his head on his shoulders, the actor plans to take it all on the chin. "Maria is upset. She has every right to be. If I were in her place I'd be upset, too," claims Arshad, whose private 'big fight' with Maria has now become public fodder. Apparently, Maria was upset that Arshad wasn't giving the family enough time. "She's right. But sometimes an actor's life is like that. I'm shooting for films; we're busy with our home production. But again that's no excuse. Maria has been an integral part of our first production venture, and has been the pillar of the family. I'd be stupid to lose her," confesses the actor, who plans to 'change' once he returns from Wai.

"Maria is my 'complete woman'. Her values, ethics, principles remain unmatched. Fights happen, every couple fights, but I'm waiting to get home and make things right," shares Arshad, for whom his wife and kids mean everything, so much so that if he ever chose to have a tattoo on his body it would be his children's names. "In Golmaal Returns , I have Saif name tattooed on my chest, but if I were to get a real tattoo done, it would read Zeke and Zene!" states the actor.

With acting in sequels and all have bonds with Ajay Devgan and gang strengthened? "We all get along famously. There's enough and more camaraderie on the sets, but there isn't enough time to nurture bonds and friendships. We actors find it difficult to do justice to our already existing family and friends that making new ones becomes a problem. Also, by nature, I'm a very private guy and prefer to stay in my own little cave. So yes, we all meet on the sets, but don't usually socialize," declares Warsi.

Arshad's first production venture initially titled I Believe In Angels will now be called Kaun Bola . However, besides this 'home production', it's his real life home production - Maria and kids - that he's longing to get back to.
