Its summer vacation time and B.R. Films have decided that this is the best possible time to release their latest film Bhoothnath, which is a heartwarming story of a small child and a ghost. While the ghost (who later becomes a dost) is played by none other than Amitabh Bachchan, the chotta bachcha in this case is played by Aman Siddique. Aman who has earlier worked with Big B in a couple of advertisements, seems completely at ease sharing screen space with one of the biggest stars in the country. As for the Big B, he is also having fun playing the friendly ghost with panache.

Amitabh is the Big B of all the film industries of the world, he creates magic with Kids, like for example in Black too.... Bhoothnath is a children’s film and so is the music. All five songs have simple melodies with simple lyrics, just like it should be for a film of this variety. Another reason for the simple melodies is because most of the album has been sung by children or untrained singers - Amitabh Bachchan and Juhi Chawla. Yes, Juhi Chawla. The song ‘Chalo jaane do’ is a duet sung by Amitabh and Juhi, and both have pulled it off quite nicely. The song does not have a very intricate melody and sounds like it is by two accomplished singers. Another good thing about it is that Mr. Bachchan has left aside his forced baritone. It is a romantic duet and it has been sung romantically. Moreover, Juhi outshines Mr. Bachchan on this song. Vishal-Shekhar should take a bow for this effort.
