Saif Ali Khan belongs to the royal family of Nawabs and is the son of successful cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and yesteryear actress Sharmila Tagore. Growing up the actor studiend in England at the Winchester College.Originally the star was expectd to make his debut in Bekhudi opposite Kajol but the film didn't materialise for him. As a result he made his film debut in Parampara in 1992 which failed miserably.

However, success finally came his way two years later when he acted in Main Khiladi Tu Anari with Akshay Kumar in 1994.

But real fame and fortune came Khan's way after the release of Farhan Akhtar’s 2001 hit, Dil Chahta Hain, where his character of Sameer drew him a lot of praise. And then on there has been no looking back for Saif who has tried his hand at various characters in films like Homi Adajania’s Being Cyrus and Vishal Bharadwaj’s Omkara.

Saif Ali Khan was married to Amrita Singh for 13 years and has 2 children -, Sara and Ibrahim. They divorced in 2004 and the actor was immediately linked to Italian model Rozza Catalano. But that too didn't last long for the actor and the star is nowadays seen walking hand in hand with his current lady love Kareena Kapoor.
