New to NCIS. Need help!

Hey, I started watching NCIS on tv . I only watched 3 eps so far and I'm obsessed with it already! I've been searching frantically for clips but most of them are music videos (I know! Is there a rehab center for NCIS addiction or something?!) I was just wondering if anyone could tell me which episode is this and which season it from;

- The previous episode I have watched was something about a submarine case. The perp's name was Drew and he swallowed metal capsules thingy that releases salin(?) gas that can kill everyone on board. That kid gag himself in a bag and they put his body in the freezer. And later Gibbs figured out that was not a suicide attempt. The cold temperature in the freezer would trigger the gas to release from the capsules, which he swallowed before he died.

Okay, I hope that's NCIS season one . If it is, I kinda am ashamed of it... I mean, we're slow! But im looking at the bright side; that's not a bad thing at all - I'm starting from scratch!

Feel free to spoil me a little: I heard about Kate's death and the chemistry between Ziva and Tony. Am I going to like Ziva? How is her character like? At first glance, I was like woah, crazy hair line. sorry, can't help it! (not to stir drama so i apologise first) I dont know if I should stop watching after NCIS season 2. So enlighten me, pls.
